About Ohishiya

The historical Nakasendo road, one of the five highways of Edo. At Konosu, the seventh station counting from Nihonbashi, Ohishiya has been in business since the Edo period.

In addition to liquor sales, the company began manufacturing mini soy sauce bottles for bento lunch boxes in 1962. This shifted the business from sales to packing. Starting with soy sauce for lunch boxes and sushi, we have come to handle all the seasonings that go into Japanese cuisine, including tonkatsu sauce, natto and tofu sauce, and sauces for eel and conger.

All of this is to help make food tastier and help people enjoy their meals more.

We are currently expanding beyond the domestic Japanese market We deliver safe, reliable, and delicious products worldwide with manufacturing that meets international standards such as FDA Food Facility Registration and FSSC22000 Food Safety Management System, and thorough sanitation control based on HACCP.
